The corporate billing service covers the raising and dispatching invoices of invoices requested by the School. The Section will take initial recovery action and will refer bad debts to the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Credit Control Section.
The service will include telephone and e-mail support and guidance if required and wherever possible we will provide prompt responses to queries raised by the School.
Our services will be delivered by trained and experienced staff, using all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the performance of their duties. They will maintain the integrity and confidentiality of information associated with our joint obligations at all times.
All services are available to all East Riding Schools. Additional services to those specified are dependent on the corporate billing team having adequate resources. Immediate provision cannot always be guaranteed but we will do our best to help you if we can.
The service provides administrative and advisory support for schools on all aspects of school admission appeals. All services provided will comply with the requirements of legislation, the statutory codes and other guidance issued by the Department for Education.
A service agreement is not required for schools maintained by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council as this service is already provided for those schools.
Information Governance Training and Support Service
It’s more important than ever that schools get Information Governance (IG) right, if things go wrong it can have a serious impact upon individuals and your school. You might ask yourself what IG is all about, for the purposes of this SLA IG covers;
• Data protection
• Freedom of information
• Records management
• Surveillance cameras
The Data Protection and Feedback Team, based in County Hall, Beverley is ideally placed to assist schools in the area. This is due to its experience in working with schools and its responsibility for ensuring Council compliance on IG matters.
It is crucial that all of these areas have been thought about by schools. If things do go wrong it can result in audits, enforcement notices and significant financial penalties being imposed.
